At Bouncing Scotland we work closely with our clients to meet there exact needs with Audio and Lighting hire. From small discos to large festivals we can meet your exact needs.

We work with Live Systems based in Edinburgh to put together the packages below.

Conference/ Presentation PA system:

A discreet, high-quality sound reinforcement system for conference or presentation purposes. This system provides the user with a Radio Microphone (handheld, headworn or lavalier) plus two lectern based mics. The E3 loudspeakers used in this system are small, elegant and yet are extremely powerful. For larger rooms, a second set of speakers can help tremendously and up to four E3's can be run from a single E-Pac amplifier. Additional loudspeakers, microphones, etc can be added on request.

To assist with acoustic problems and feedback, we have included the Shure DFR22E processor. This can automatically locate and remove feedback from the system giving you more volume. This is particularly useful when using lapel radio microphone systems.

We also have a contemporary lecterns available for hire should your event require one.

Small live band PA System:
A 600W PA system suitable for use in small venues - up to 150 people. This is primarily a vocal PA but the Yamaha MG mixing console supplied will allow for additional inputs as necessary and the powerful DAS speakers can put out some serious power. Additional microphones and DI boxes are available on request as are Equalisers and monitors.

Medium live band PA System:
A 2kW PA system suitable for use in small to medium size venues - up to 300 capacity. This system includes two powerful subwoofers (subs) to reinforce the low frequencies that are often lost in larger spaces. This is an active system and uses a dedicated system controller to split the signal into the different frequency bands for the speakers. This results in a tighter and more defined sound.
Also included is a graphic equaliser for correcting room acoustic problems, an effects processor and a basic set of instrument and drum microphones.
Additional microphones and outboard equipment are available on request.

Budget Wedge Monitor System:
Add a monitoring system for your band. This system comprises four wedge monitors and amplifier. This can then be connected to the AUX sends from your mixer to provide two independent mixes for the players that are separately controlled from the main system mix.

Small Theatre PA System:
A high quality theatre sound system for use within theatre spaces of up to 150 seats. This system is designed to be compact and unobtrusive yet does not compromise on the audio quality. The compact E3 loudspeakers can be either stand mounted or flown making them very versatile. Additional E3's can be added if required. This is the type of system that we fit for small theatre spaces during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. A full range of microphones and radio microphones is also available to add to this package as well as additional playback, effects and processing equipment.

Medium Theatre PA System:
A critical quality theatre sound system for use within theatres up to 400 seats where clarity of speech and vocals is of prime importance. This system also includes a pair of subs which will help when live or recorded music is employed
for a show.When using only a single pair of main speakers for a theatre system, there are quite often 'dead' spots in the auditorium where the sound level falls away. You may wish to add some small 'fill' speakers to cover these areas. Our d&b E3 or Fohhn XT-1 speakers are ideal for this purpose as they are compact and have a wide range of mounting options, enabling them to be located in many places the most awkward places in auditoriums. Please note that this system does not include Radio Microphones and any required would be an additional cost.

Terms and conditions of Hire Stock

For the purposes of this document the following terms are defined as follows:
" Hirer" - The individual, company or organisation that has entered into a Hire Agreement for the supply of Equipment from the Owner.
" Owner" – Bouncing Scotland or one of there specified sub-contractors
" Equipment" - Items of sound, lighting, video or other technical apparatus, be they electrical items or otherwise, supplied by the Owner to the Hirer in terms of the Hire Agreement.
" Hire Agreement" - The agreement for the supply of the Equipment by the Owner to the Hirer. 1. Hire charges run from the date of collection/delivery of the Equipment until the date of return to the Owner unless otherwise agreed by both parties in writing.

2. Payment is due at the commencement of the hire unless a credit account has been established. In such an instance, payment shall be due 30 days from the date of invoice. Failure to pay within the prescribed 30 days will result in an interest charge of 6% per calendar month being added to their invoice total. In addition, any discounts previously agreed shall be made void.

3. Where the Hirer cancels a confirmed booking the Owner reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee. If cancelled on the day of hire the full hire charge will be payable. Within 24 hours of the hire 75% of the hire charge may be payable. Within 72 hours of the hire, 50% of the hire charge may be payable. Within 7 days of the hire, 25% of the hire charge may be payable. Charges for labour are non-refundable and will be charged in full.

3. Where the Hirer is collecting the Equipment from the Owner, collection of the Equipment shall be made between 2pm and 5:30pm Monday to Friday and between 10am and 1pm on Saturday. Equipment shall be returned before 1pm on the day of return unless previous arrangements have been agreed with the Owner.

5. The Equipment remains the property of the Owner at all times.

6.1 The Hirer assumes full responsibility for the Equipment once it has left the premises of the Owner and until its return to these same premises.

6.2 The Hirer shall indemnify the Owner for any damage and/or loss to
the Equipment regardless of the cause.

6.3 The Equipment shall be assumed to be 'on hire' until it is returned to the Owner and all damages and/or losses have been paid to the Owner in terms of clause 6.2 above.

7. The Equipment shall not be modified in any way by the Hirer or anyone acting for or on behalf of the Hirer.
The Owner shall not be made liable for any damage caused to equipment not
supplied by the Owner by the Hirer and/or their employees or agents connecting such equipment to the Equipment supplied by the Owner and/or

8. a third party appointed by the Owner.

9. The Hirer shall ensure that the use of the Equipment will only be carried out by properly trained and competent personnel. The Owner accepts no liability in respect of damage to personnel or property whilst the Equipment is on hire to the Hirer.

10. All Equipment is checked before leaving the Owner's premises. In the event of a defect, however, the Owner's liability shall be limited to replacing and/or repairing the defective component. The Owner shall not be held liable for any damage or defect caused by negligent handling other than by its staff or agents or for any damage to the Equipment resulting after delivery or collection by a carrier or their appointed agents.

11. The signature given on collection or delivery of the Equipment from/to the Hirer will constitute an acceptance on behalf of the Hirer that the Equipment was complete and in correct working order.

12. All cabling will be supplied coiled and taped and should be returned in a similar fashion. A charge of £0.85 plus vat per cable will be made for any recoiling necessary. Any missing and/or damaged connectors will be charged at a rate of £5.00 plus vat in addition to the cost of the connector.

13. Any failed and/or replaced lamps should be returned along with the Equipment for inspection. Failure to do so will result in the Hirer being charged for the replacement of the lamp in question. If it is found that the lamp has been damaged through mishandling by the Hirer and/or their employees or agents the Hirer shall be charged for the replacement of the lamp in question.

14. All customers are advised to take out adequate public liability and/or damage insurance cover, for the event. Bouncing Scotland will not be liable to any claims against misuse, injury, or loss of any equipment whatsoever. End of agreement.

Note: We are now stocking a range of backline equipment for hire or rental including guitar and bass amps, combos, keyboards, drums and percussion.
Backline hire or rental is commonly used by bands on tour, allowing them to hire the equipment they need locally and thereby cutting down on their transport costs. It is also useful for local bands when they are playing larger venues and would like to use either larger or more professional equipment for that gig. We also have access to a wider range of equipment through our associations with other hire companies Bouncing Scotland- “Events Company specialising in fun and innovative events.”
